Bloody Hell!
Looks like the Cutty Sark is done for then.
News this morning that it is 100% ablaze is actually a bit of a shock.
It strikes me as being a terrible shame, really, that such an important piece of England’s maritime history has been destroyed.
That said, it was always one of those things I wasn’t hugely interested in going to see, but I was always vaguely comforted by the fact it was there.

Saw that in the londonpaper on the tube yesterday…shame that. One of the pics in todays paper made me chuckle though, a bloke on his mobile looking completely oblivious to the burning boat behind him….Londoner’s eh?

Completely unrelated….Saturday’s Doctor Who/24 good fast paced drama or a repeat of last years Impossible Planet/Satan’s Pit two parter….I’m on the fence at the mo.

Oh I’m on the former - but it was definitely set in the same mould.
Proper review coming soon…

It’s like when the Brighton Pier burned down. That had quite an impact on me and I’d never even seen it (I live in Australia). What was that all about?
Seen it now though. Something about it haunts me.

Got something to say?

I bet it wasd that terrible woman! Seriously though, most of the stuff was offsite at Chatham. One chap did say that the planking and ironwork might be damaged but it looks like it might end up looking the same as ever and have pretty much all its original features apart from a crumbling Debbie Watling last seen screaming round the deck flailing a Molotov coctail.
