// Articles

I have, on a few occasions, been lucky enough to get some of my non-fictional material published in a professional publication. It hasn’t happened often, mind, but there we are.

Send in the Clones

An article I wrote for TV Zone about the constant recycling of ideas in Cult TV. Published in TV Zone #134.

Science Fiction Double Feature

An article I wrote for a TV Zone special concerning itself with the general abundance of magic in Science Fiction. Published in TV Zone Special #39.

The Death of Doctor Who?

So, for a few years back there, before Russell T. Davies managed to bring it back in spectacular fashion, it seemed to many that Doctor Who had died a death. I, however, disagreed, and argued the case. Published in TV Zone Special #36.

Balderdash

You may have noticed, but I quite like language and a well turned phrase is something I very much admire. Having a chance to stretch my muscles writing about something other than gayers or Who-ers was something I rather relished. This was published in God’s Rude Wireless.

Edited Highlights

Despite being a writer I believe strongly that us artistic types shouldn’t be allowed to get away with anything we like. I’m a firm believer in editorial control and this article is all about why. This was published in God’s Rude Wireless.

(With thanks to Jan @ Visual Imagination for allowing me to reproduce the TV Zone articles.)

Writing

"Any writer, I suppose, feels that the world into which he was born is nothing less than a conspiracy against the cultivation of his talent."
